The Bionest Active Vacuum System can be easily adjusted. The optimum pressure range for the system is in the range of 10-15 inHg. However, the system can go up to 20 inHg, if needed. The system pressure is adjusted based on the patient weight, the stump health and the activity level of the patient.
The only action to take to adjust the Bionest Active Vacuum System is to tighten or to loosen the adjusting bolt in the bottom of the system, as shown in the figure. Once you loosen the adjusting bolt, the system pressure will increase, as the system will hold and release more air in it. Once you tighten the adjusting bolt, the system pressure will decrease, as the system will hold and release less air in it.
